Battery and old device disposal
1. Data protection at a glance
Our duty to provide information under the Battery Act:
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
As an end user, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. You can return used batteries that we carry or have carried as new batteries free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address). The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The symbol of the crossed-out garbage bin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass.
Please note the above information.
Used batteries do not belong in household waste. You can return used batteries to our shipping warehouse free of charge or ship them to us at your own expense. As a consumer, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. Alternatively, you can also return the batteries to retail outlets. Returns are limited to quantities customary for end users and to used batteries that the retailer has or has had in its product range as new batteries. Used batteries can also be returned to municipal collection points.
If you are unsure about how to handle old batteries or have further questions about returning them, please feel free to contact our service team.
Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg, or Pb) of the heavy metal that is responsible for the classification as harmful. You can return used batteries to us at the following address:
CLS DAFA GmbH, Draisstraße 10, 76646 Bruchsal, Germany
2. Notice according to the Waste Equipment Ordinance (ElektroG)
