Battery and old device disposal
1. Data protection at a glance
Our obligation to provide information under the Battery Act:
In connection with the sale of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
As an end user, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. You can return used batteries that we currently or previously offered as new batteries in our product range free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address). The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The crossed-out trash can symbol means that the battery must not be disposed of in household waste.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass.
Please note the above information.
Used batteries do not belong in household waste. You can return used batteries free of charge to our warehouse or ship them to it at your own expense. As a consumer, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. Alternatively, you can also return the batteries to retail outlets. This is limited to quantities typical for end users and to used batteries that the retailer currently sells or has previously sold as new batteries. Used batteries can also be returned to municipal collection points.
If you are unsure about how to handle old batteries, or have any further questions about returns, please feel free to contact our service team.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out trash can and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg, or Pb) of the heavy metal that classifies it as hazardous. You can return used batteries to us at the following address:
CLS DAFA GmbH, Draisstraße 10, 76646 Bruchsal, Germany
2. Notice in accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (ElektroG)

The return option is limited to small old devices under 25 cm, to old devices that we currently or previously carried in our product range, and to the quantity that end consumers typically dispose of.
